Flood Advisory issued for parts of Collier County
Turn around, don’t drown.
FORT MYERS, Fla. —
A flood advisory was issued for parts of Collier County and is in effect until 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen, and an additional 1 to 2 inches of rain are expected. Watch for flooding in low-lying areas. Remember to never drive into floodwaters. Turn around, don’t drown.

Another heat advisory is in effect for all of the Gulf Coast from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. as feels-like temperatures soar near 110 degrees on Saturday. No matter what you have planned, make sure you have ways to stay safe as things heat up during the day today.
Besides the heat, your Gulf Coast Weather Most Accurate Forecast calls for another day with scattered storms expected. The best chance for rain looks to be about 40% coverage from 4 through 7 p.m. Saturday. Some storms may produce gusty winds, heavy rainfall, and frequent lightning.
Things will dry out on Sunday as more Saharan dust is forecast to move in and drop our rain chances. By Monday and Tuesday, rain chances are down to only 10%.
It’ll be very hot for the next several days, as high temperatures peak in the mid-90s, but feels-like temperatures will likely exceed 105 degrees.
