Impact Weather: Central Florida heat wave continues, advisories issued
ORLANDO, Fla. —
Central Florida is bracing for another day of dangerous heat Sunday, with heat index values expected to soar into the triple digits.
Heat advisories are in effect across the region from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., as heat index values climb between 108 and 112 degrees.
The dangerous conditions are being driven by a combination of high temperatures and humidity.
The heat index will range from 108 degrees to 112 degrees.
Heat safety tips
To stay safe, drink plenty of fluids, limit time outdoors, avoid strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day, and try to schedule outdoor activities for the early morning or evening.
