Officials searching for driver after Christmas hit-and-run seriously injures woman

Authorities are searching for an SUV involved in a hit-and-run collision that seriously injured a woman Friday morning in Christmas.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the woman was struck on State Road 50 while standing by her parked vehicle off the side of the road.

Highway Patrol officials believe the vehicle involved is an SUV, but no further description is available.
