A man from Tampa died after he lost control of his trailer, the Florida Highway Patrol says.
On Sunday evening, FHP says, a 40-year-old driver was heading south on SR-91, Florida’s Turnpike, but when he reached the 306.5-mile post, near Exit 304 in Sumter County, he lost control of his trailer and died in the crash.
The trailer left the highway, entered the shoulder, hit a guardrail and then crashed into several trees, the FHP said.
According to troopers, the injuries that the driver sustained were fatal.
