Fort Pierce man arrested after firing bullet through bathroom door at victim
Nathan M. Hsu, 23, was arrested Sunday after a domestic disturbance involving a firearm and faces multiple charges, including attempted felony murder and kidnapping.
FORT PIERCE, Fla. —
Two law enforcement agencies on the Treasure Coast worked together to find and arrest a man who was on the run on Sunday, Aug. 16.
Nathan M. Hsu, 23, from Fort Pierce, was arrested on Sunday and is facing charges of attempted felony murder, kidnapping, tampering with a witness, simple battery (Domestic), and grand theft of a motor vehicle.

According to a statement from the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday, it, along with the Fort Pierce Police Department, conducted an extensive search for Hsu near Porpoise Beach on Hutchinson Island following a domestic disturbance involving a firearm.
At 11:30 a.m., St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence on the 1700 block of Wyoming Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance.
The sheriff’s office said Hsu became involved in a verbal argument with the victim, which led the victim to lock herself inside a bathroom.
Hsu is accused of firing a bullet through the bathroom door.

He then left the residence in a vehicle. The vehicle was located near Porpoise Beach by Fort Pierce Police Department officers. At that point, both law enforcement agencies conducted a coordinated search for Hsu in the surrounding area.
During the search, the sheriff’s office obtained a search warrant to enter Hsu’s residence.

At 2:30 p.m., the sheriff’s office said Hsu’s family located him and alerted a passing Fort Pierce Police Department officer. Moments later, Hsu was taken into custody, and his firearm was retrieved.
As of Monday afternoon, Hsu remains in the St. Lucie County Jail.
