Goodwill programs offer alternative paths to education in Central Florida
Goodwill Industries of Central Florida is helping students and employees achieve their educational goals through two innovative programs, Project Compass and Goodwill Scholars.
As the school year begins, Goodwill Industries of Central Florida (GICF) is offering two programs, Project Compass and Goodwill Scholars, to help students and employees pursue education and career success.
Project Compass provides an alternative to traditional classrooms, offering one-on-one support to help students get back on track and hands-on job experience.
The program is a partnership between Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) and GICF.
Goodwill Scholars, the nonprofit’s scholarship program, has helped hundreds of GICF employees earn a degree, certificate, or diploma by covering the cost of tuition, books, and fees.
These programs emphasize the importance of showing that education doesn’t have to follow a traditional path, creating opportunities for individuals to achieve their goals in flexible and accessible ways.
