August 18, 2026 – St. Petersburg City Council will consider a $5.97 million, three-year contract with Gulf Coast Jewish Family and Community Services to continue operating the CALL program, which sends non-law-enforcement responders to nonviolent, noncriminal calls and provides crisis intervention. The administration is also asking council to waive normal source-selection requirements and award the contract without a competitive solicitation, due to CALL’s overwhelming success.
