Florida 2026 live primary election results; Southwest Florida races
FORT MYERS, Fla. —
When polls close across Florida at 7 p.m., election officials begin releasing unofficial results in races that will help shape local, state and federal government. Voters throughout Southwest Florida have cast ballots in primary contests for statewide offices, legislative seats, county races, school boards and local ballot measures.
Results are reported as counties process votes cast on Election Day, during early voting and through eligible vote-by-mail ballots. Initial returns often reflect early voting totals before additional precincts report, so vote counts and race margins are expected to change throughout the evening.
Some contests may be called shortly after polls close, while others could remain too close to call until more ballots are counted. County canvassing boards will continue reviewing and certifying results in the days ahead, meaning unofficial totals may change as the canvassing process continues.
Gulf Coast News is tracking the races that matter most to Southwest Florida, from the race for governor and Florida’s U.S. Senate seat to State House contests, commissioner of agriculture and key local elections across Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Glades and Hendry counties.
This page features live election results from The Associated Press and Hearst Television’s Election Hub. Results will update automatically throughout election night as counties report new vote totals and races are projected.
Editor’s Note: Results will automatically populate after polls close at 7 p.m.
