TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A 17-year-old was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman who was “physically incapacitated,” according to court documents.
Tommrye Jones is charged with sexual battery on a physically incapacitated person and is being charged as an adult, according to court records.
Arrest papers show the alleged assault happened in July 2024.

The victim told law enforcement she had been drinking the night of the reported assault. She said she did not remember anyone touching her, but believed someone may have had sexual intercourse with her, according to arrest documents.
A sexual assault evidence kit was conducted and her clothing was collected as evidence.
Arrest documents say surveillance footage shows the victim in a parking lot, appearing to lay down on the ground near an SUV and staying there. The video shows a male, suspected to be Jones, walking by when he appears to see the victim and turn back.
“The male walks back and forth multiple times between the roadway in the parking lot and [the victim],” arrest papers say.
That surveillance video shows what appears to be Jones having sex with the victim, according to court documents.

Forensic tests of the victim’s clothes came back with DNA evidence in May 2026. That DNA sample matched Jones, per arrest papers. The victim told police she did not know Jones.
Law enforcement spoke to Jones in June, who said he did not know the victim and denied having sex with anyone in a parking lot.
A DNA sample was taken from Jones and results, received in August, matched those taken from the victim’s clothes, arrest documents show.
Jones was booked into the Leon County Jail on Monday and was denied bond on Tuesday, per court records.
