DUNBAR, W.Va. (WCHS) — A Florida murder suspect was apprehended in Kanawha County, West Virginia, federal investigators said.

Matthew Allen Waggle, 33, has been charged with first-degree murder, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service.

The release said Waggle was arrested Wednesday evening at a motel in Dunbar.

On Sunday, law enforcement said 52-year-old Dawn Kriskewic was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound near her home outside of Vero Beach, Flordia.

The woman was taken to an area hospital, but succumbed to her injuries.

Waggle was identified as a suspect and a nationwide alert was issued, leading investigators to West Virginia.

Waggle is awaiting extradition back to Florida inside South Central Regional Jail.
