Drive-in services continue at Central Christian Church

For nearly 75 years, Central Christian Church has offered drive-in worship on Sundays. The service starts at 8:15 a.m. and is open to not only cars but also motorcycles, bikes and walk-ins.

The first service dates back to Nov. 23, 1952, at the Winter Park Drive-In. According to the Orange County Regional History Center, Orlando’s first drive-in theater, the Orlando Drive-In, was inspired by the Church to offer a similar service.

Services are now held in the lakeview parking lot of Central Christian Church, located at 250 SW Ivanhoe Blvd. Indoor services are offered at 10:45 a.m.
