SUV and Brightline train collide in Hobe Sound; Driver injured
HOBE SOUND, Fla. —
Martin County Fire Rescue crews responded to a collision between an SUV and a Brightline train Thursday morning in Hobe Sound.
The crash happened just before 11 a.m. near the intersection of Southeast Dixie Highway and Southeast Crossrip Street.
The man driving the SUV sustained traumatic injuries and was transported to the hospital, according to paramedics.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office was also on the scene, and the proper investigative agencies have been notified.
All train tracks in the area have been reopened.
