The new connection expands affordable intercity travel options between two major Southeast metros and communities along the corridor.
TAMPA, Fla — FlixBus is expanding its Florida network with a new daily route connecting the Tampa Bay area and Atlanta along the heavily traveled Interstate 75 corridor.
The service launches Thursday, Aug. 20, and will operate one round trip per day, seven days a week. The route links two of the Southeast’s largest metropolitan areas while providing direct service to several communities in Georgia and Florida.

Along the route, buses will stop in Atlanta, Warner Robins/Byron, Valdosta, Gainesville, Tampa, and St. Petersburg. Tampa riders will board at 1315 N. Marion Street, while the St. Petersburg stop is located at 860 Central Avenue.
FlixBus officials said the new service is designed to meet growing demand for affordable intercity travel and provide more transportation options for students, families, and leisure travelers.
“The I-75 corridor between Atlanta and Tampa Bay is exactly the kind of high-demand corridor where affordable, direct intercity bus service makes a real difference,” said Karina Frayter, head of communications for Flix North America, the parent company of FlixBus.
Passengers on the route will have access to amenities including free Wi-Fi, guaranteed seating, and luggage allowance. Tickets are available through the FlixBus website and mobile app.
