SeaWorld Orlando goes bigger and scarier with ’90s-inspired Howl-O-Scream 2026
ORLANDO, Fla. —
SeaWorld Orlando is going bigger — and scarier — for Howl-O-Scream this year, with its largest Halloween event yet and the park’s first-ever intellectual property partnership.
For 2026, SeaWorld is leaning into ’90s horror nostalgia with “I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Final Catch,” a new haunted house inspired by the iconic slasher franchise.
The throwback theme was on full display during a media preview, where SeaWorld introduced this year’s scare actors through a ’90s-style infomercial — complete with plenty of era-appropriate nostalgia.
But the theme goes far beyond the presentation.
This year’s Howl-O-Scream will feature five haunted houses, including four with all-new storylines, along with four new scare zones and five new themed bars.
“I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Final Catch” will bring The Fisherman to SeaWorld Orlando, while other houses will introduce guests to characters including Havoc, Pestilents and Jack the Ripper.
The new scares won’t be limited to the haunted houses.
A new scare zone called “Nekrosis” turns the clock back to Y2K, dropping guests into an abandoned seaside town seemingly frozen in the 1990s. That storyline continues at “The Rewind,” a new interactive themed bar.
Between the food, drinks, haunted houses and scare zones, SeaWorld is embracing the throwback horror theme throughout the event.
