An investigation was underway after a man was found shot near a gas station in Pompano Beach Thursday night.
The shooting was reported around 7:45 p.m. near 220 South Dixie Highway, Broward Sheriff’s Office officials said.
Deputies responded and found the wounded man, and fire rescue workers brought him to a local hospital for treatment.
A subject was later located and detained, officials said.
Authorities haven’t given any other details on what may have led to the shooting and haven’t released the identities of anyone involved.
The incident remains under investigation.
