TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Tallahassee State College has determined to move forward with one fall show this semester “after reviewing student participation and the resources needed to support a successful production,” according to the college.
In a press release Thursday, the college revealed that it originally planned two theatrical productions for the fall semester.
The one show set to take place this semester is Theatre TSC’s “Pride and Prejudice,” according to the college’s statement.
“We have heard clearly how much theatre means to members of our campus and community, and we are pleased to move forward with ‘Pride and Prejudice’ this fall,” Dr. Calandra Stringer, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, said.

The TSC Foundation provided financial support to make the performance happen, according to the state college.
Auditions are scheduled for Sept. 8 and 9 at 7 p.m. at Turner Auditorium.
For those interested in the performances, they will be held Nov. 12 through 14 and Nov. 20 through 21 at 7 p.m., with a matinee on Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. Tickets go on sale in September.
Dr. Stringer said she hopes that “enthusiasm translates into strong participation at auditions and full audiences in November.”
