MIAMI (WSVN) – City of Miami Police introduced their newest member to its K-9 unit.
The department welcomed Samson, a gun-detecting canine to the force on Friday.
Officials said the dog will soon begin specialized training where he’ll learn to detect firearms, bullet casings, and odors associated with the discharge of a firearm.
Once his training his complete, he’ll be able to help officers find concealed guns and strengthen public safety across Miami.
