TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Local churches rallied community members to the polls Sunday as early voting came to an end ahead of Tuesday’s primary election.
Bethel AME Church partnered with other local churches for the 25th annual Souls to the Polls rally. Church members caravanned to the B.L. Perry Library to cast their ballots.
Organizer Cassandra Jenkins said Bethel AME has a long history of involvement in social justice and civil rights efforts.

She added that Souls to the Polls is a way to educate, mobilize and encourage residents to use their power to vote.
“We know that by voting, you are exercising your power, and by exercising your power, you have a say of what happens to you from a local, state, and national perspective,” Jenkins said.
Tuesday is Election Day for Florida’s primary election.
Voters who have not yet cast their ballots can vote at their assigned polling location.
