If you have walked under the Halloween sign at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, you have seen Jorge’s work. He is one of nearly 80 cast members on Disney’s Holiday Services team who installed Halloween decor at Disney Springs and Magic Kingdom over the past several weeks, mostly overnight.
Jorge has worked as a decorator for 10 years. His projects include a past Haunted Mansion holiday display and new decor inside Magic Kingdom’s Club 33. This year, his most visible piece is the large Halloween sign guests pass under at the entrance to Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar.
This is the second year for the Hangar Bar’s Halloween overlay. Jorge said the team gave each letter its own personality, treating them like characters in costume.
“He was an adventurer,” Jorge said of Jock Lindsey, the character the sign is themed around.
The design has small details built in. Look for two tiny ghosts tucked into the sign, a spiderweb, arrows shaped into the letter “N,” and a witch’s hat on the letter “U.” The sign itself is shaped like a banner being towed by a small plane, tying back to the bar’s aviation theme.
“Details create discovery, and discovery creates memories,” Jorge said.
The sign is one part of the season at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. The venue also has new food this year, including the Candelabra Eggs, Dark Forest Dip, and Bone Kebabs.
