JACKSONVILLE, Ark. – Jacksonville North Pulaski School District officials said work to clean mold at Jacksonville Elementary School is ongoing.
The district confirmed that students will continue to be relocated to Jacksonville High School on Monday, August 24, and Tuesday, August 25, because of the issue.
“Alternative instruction will continue to be provided by Jacksonville Elementary teachers and staff in the Titan Arena and auxiliary gym areas,” the district wrote. “Jacksonville Elementary scholars will remain separated from Jacksonville High School scholars. Breakfast and lunch will continue to be provided.”
District officials highlighted that absences will continue to be excused for Jacksonville Elementary students who do not attend during the period when classes are relocated.
According to the district, three of the elementary school’s Dedicated Outdoor Air System units have been malfunctioning, which allowed humid air to circulate in the building without being conditioned.
