August 22, 2026 – The Tampa Bay Rays organization Friday announced that it has reached a tentative deal with the City of Tampa and Hillsborough County for a proposed stadium in Tampa. However, the agreement still needs an official vote from the City Council and County. Rays CEO Ken Babby wrote in a statement on the team’s Facebook page that “we have definitive documents that will serve as the framework to deliver a new ballpark, a reimagined Hillsborough College campus and a privately financed neighborhood where we can all work, live, learn and play.”
