High temperatures continue across Central Florida but more afternoon storms are expected.

Scattered showers and storms are forecast for the afternoon and evening, according to NWS Melbourne.

Storms could bring strong wind gusts, frequent lightning, small hail and locally heavy rainfall.

Temperatures will be in the mid-90s across the region.

Heat impact will be greatest from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to NWS Melbourne.

There is widespread moderate to major risks for heat.
