A man was taken to the hospital after being shot in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, and a suspect was detained, police said.
According to Fort Lauderdale police, officers arrived at the 2300 block of Northwest Ninth Court after receiving reports of a shooting.
At the scene, they found a man who was shot, and officers performed life-saving measures until the man was taken to the Broward Health Medical Center.
The man had life-threatening injuries.
Police said that the alleged shooter stayed at the scene, was detained and is cooperating with officers.
An investigation into the incident remains active.
