The Miami Dolphins’ second preseason game against the New York Giants just kicked off!
Keep it locked here.
LB Jackson Woodard recovers
It looked as if the Giants were about to punch in their second touchdown of the game.
That is, until running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. dropped the ball at the Miami 10-yard line. Woodard quickly hopped on it to and the Dolphins defense survived.
Phins still down 7-0.
WR Kevin Coleman Jr. highlight
The offense has been rather lackluster to start.
That said, the rookie wideout had quite the highlight when he pulled down the 30-yard catch on the wheel route.
LB Trey Moore hurt
The rookie linebacker had to be helped off the field after he went down with an apparent left leg injury while chasing Giants quarterback Jameis Winston.
He was later carted to the locker room.
QB Malik Willis not playing
So much for fans hoping to see QB1.
Willis will not suit up for Saturday’s matchup.
That means it will be the Cam Miller and Mark Gronowski show vs. the Giants.
Also not playing: wide receiver Malik Washington, linebackers Jordan Brooks and Tyrel Dodson, offensive linemen Patrick Paul, Aaron Brewer, Jonah Savaiinaea and Austin Jackson, defensive linemen Jordan Phillips, Kenneth Grant and Zach Sieler.
Dolphins release CB ahead of kickoff
The Dolphins released cornerback Nick McCloud ahead of kickoff.
It’s unclear what happened as he was signed less than two weeks ago and the Dolphins don’t have a lot of established talent at corner.
