JENSEN BEACH — Planet Fitness is expanding in Martin County with a new Jensen Beach location expected to open in late November.
The new gym will take over the former JOANN Fabric and Craft store on U.S. 1, becoming the county’s second Planet Fitness location.
The announcement comes about eight months after LA Fitness, located less than 2 miles away, closed, leaving many members disappointed.
Membership at the new club will include free fitness training with a certified fitness trainer and access to a large selection of cardio and strength training equipment, all in the company’s “Judgment Free Zone.
The free Planet Fitness App features hundreds of on-demand digital workouts, exercise tutorials, an activity tracker and more.
With 2,909 locations, Planet Fitness has become one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers in the United States.
The new Planet Fitness will be at 3563 N.W. U.S, 1, Jensen Beach.
