BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A stolen car out of Broward County was recovered after a traffic stop by the Boynton Beach Police Department.

On Sunday, BBPD says that while conducting proactive patrol near Miner Road and Congress Avenue, a K-9 Officer’s in car License Plate Reader alerted the officer to a stolen vehicle. As such, officers pulled the vehicle over and conducted a felony traffic stop.

Without incident, the driver — later identified as Iverson Piton — was arrested without incident.

Bodycam footage shows Piton being pulled over and arrested by deputies. BBPD says that the vehicle was reported to have been stolen on August 15 in Broward County.

For his crimes, Piton was charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle.
