GULF BREEZE, Fla. (WALA) – The Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners posted on its Facebook page this week that the Oriole Beach Boat Ramp will close Monday, August 24th.
Here is the post:
The Oriole Beach Boat Ramp, 3169 Linden Avenue in Gulf Breeze, will be closed beginning Monday, August 24, for improvements to the ramp and parking area. Weather permitting, the boat ramp is expected to reopen by Saturday, February 20, 2027.
The entrance to the boat ramp from Linden Avenue/Shady Pine Drive will also be closed. Residents on Linden Avenue should plan to use Bay Street to Oriole Beach Road to Linden Avenue as a detour. Find a larger view of the map online at https://www.santarosa.fl.gov/…/Oriole-Beach-Boat-Ramp….
Improvements will include the removal of the existing boat ramp, construction of a new concrete boat ramp, shoreline stabilization, stormwater management, parking lot improvements, landscaping, and signage.
This project was made possible in part with sales tax dollars. To see available recreational areas, including boat ramps, throughout the county, visit https://www.santarosa.fl.gov/Facilities, select an option under Facility Types, and then click the search button.
