A massive investigation was underway after a reported shooting left a deputy injured in southwest Miami-Dade on Friday afternoon, sources told NBC6.
The shooting was reported in the area of the 12200 block of Southwest 128th Street and left a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s deputy injured, multiple sources said.
Aerial footage from Chopper 6 showed a large law enforcement presence at the scene along with fire rescue crews.
A portion of a parking lot was closed off by police tape and a parked car appeared to be covered by a yellow tarp.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials confirmed one person was taken to a local hospital from the scene but gave no other information.
A large amount of officers were also gathered at Kendall Regional Hospital.
No other details were immediately known.
