JACKSONVILLE, N.C. — A 19-year-old Jacksonville man is facing charges after authorities say he stole a box truck worth about $35,000 from a tire shop.
Trenton Day was arrested Thursday, Aug. 20, by the Jacksonville Police Department.
According to arrest warrants, Day is accused of stealing a white Ford box truck belonging to Black Tires and Auto at around 4 a.m.
Court documents say Day was later found in possession of the stolen truck.
Authorities also allege Day drove the vehicle on Yopp Road and N.C. 258 without having a valid driver’s license.

Felony larceny of a motor vehicleFelony possession of a stolen motor vehicleNo operator’s license
Day was taken to the Onslow County Jail and received a $40,000 secured bond following his first court appearance.
