ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WWSB) – St. Petersburg police say they now have a person of interest in a murder in a residential neighborhood.
Investigators now say an 86-year-old man was killed Tuesday, along with his adult son’s dog that was staying with him.
Officers say the man and dog were found dead Tuesday evening at a home on 11th Street South near 58th Avenue South.
Police say the homicide appears to be an isolated incident, and detectives have identified a person of interest.
No arrests have been announced, and investigators have not released the victim’s identity or details about the person of interest.
The investigation remains active.
