TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A machine and manual recount have been completed in the race to the general election for Tallahassee City Commission Seat 3.
Tom Derzypolski will take on PJ Perez in November, just narrowly beating out Talethia Edwards by 15 votes.
A machine recount took place on Saturday, reducing the margin to just 13 votes between the pair.
The manual recount on Monday looked at 25 votes and brought the margin to 15 votes.
Perez received 11,634 votes in the primary. Derzypolski received 10,533 votes and Edwards had 10,518.
Leon County Supervisor of Elections Mark Early said recounts are standard procedure when races are this close.
There will be no more recounts after Monday’s manual one, according to Earley.
