DAVIE, FLA. (WSVN) – One man is in critical condition after a near drowning incident at a construction site in Davie.
The incident happened near Southwest 154th Avenue and 24th Place on Monday afternoon.
According to Davie Police, officers arrived to the site and found an overturned and submerged excavator inside a retention pond.
According to Davie Fire Rescue, the man, an excavator operator, was recovered from the water in cardiac arrest and was transported to Broward Health Medical Center.
7Skyforce hovered over the scene and captured divers and fire rescue vehicles at the scene.
The identity of the victim is currently unknown and police are investigating the incident.
