North Florida Fair emphasizes safety for opening weekend

  • November 7, 2025

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – After a successful opening night, the North Florida Fair is set for its first Friday night of fun, with large crowds expected.

The food, rides and agriculture exhibits are all in place, and so are plenty of safety measures.

More Tallahassee news:

Organizers like Marty Biniasz, the director of marketing for the fair, said everyone plays a role in ensuring memories at the fairgrounds are positive, unforgettable, and most importantly, safe.

“We work very close with the state of Florida and their inspection teams to go through each ride. That inspection team is here when the ride is put up, when it arrives on site, they see it in operation, and they give a certification,” he said.

Biniasz said this process takes place every day to ensure the safety of all the rides.
