Officials add that they do not anticipate any impacts to school arrivals or dismissals, but there will be some traffic delays between approximately 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. along the route.
Officials ask that if you plan to be along the route tomorrow, please be mindful not to block any roadways and that private businesses are still operating.
Brown will then be laid to rest at Coastal Carolina Veterans’ Cemetery on Montford Landing Road.
Drivers should expect some traffic delays during the services. Onslow County deputies say any information regarding impacts to local traffic will be released if needed.
Brown retired from the Jacksonville Police Department in December 2025 at 98 years old, after 68 years of serving the community.
