Florida governor candidate Byron Donalds announces state Sen. Bryan Avila as running mate
MIAMI —
Florida gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds announced state Sen. Bryan Avila as his running mate during a news conference in Miami.
Donalds made the announcement on Tuesday as part of his Defending the Florida Dream tour.
“I am deeply honored to join Byron Donalds and accept the Republican nomination for Lieutenant Governor,” Avila said.
U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds won the Republican Party nomination in the race for Florida governor in the primary election.
He will run against Democratic candidate David Jolly in the November general election.
Donalds is expected to be in Central Florida later on Tuesday.
