Former Greenville County teacher arrested on lascivious molestation charge involving child in Florida
A teacher who resigned from Greenville County Schools in 2024 during an investigation into him is facing charges in Florida of sexual battery and lascivious molestation involving a child, according to authorities.

Based on interviews, witness statements, and recorded admissions, detectives said they established probable cause for felony charges including sexual battery and lewd and lascivious molestation.


Pavluchuk resigns as teacher for Greenville County Schools
Greenville County Schools confirmed that Pavluchuk was employed as a teacher at Dr. Phinnize J. Fisher Middle School from July to November 2024.
During his time as a teacher, the school district said it got a report that Pavluchuk had shown his class an image of a fully clothed child, who was not a Greenville County Schools student, with an inappropriate image superimposed on it.
Greenville County Schools said it began an investigation, and Pavluchuk subsequently resigned.
The district said it reported the incident to law enforcement and to the South Carolina Department of Education.
According to the district, neither the school’s principal nor the district’s human resources department have received any requests for reference on Pavluchuk by any school, district, or other employer.
