Florida father mourns wife and 2-year-old daughter killed by lightning strike during Sunday storm

A Broward County father is mourning the loss of his wife and young daughter, who were killed by a lightning strike on Sunday afternoon.

Cameron Glasgow said his family had just arrived at a relative’s house for Sunday dinner when the tragedy occurred. As the family of four tried to race inside to avoid the storm, lightning struck, killing his wife, 31-year-old Kenya Glasgow, and their 2-year-old daughter, Kennedy, who leaves behind a twin sister.

“For her to lose, cause I know she can’t even fathom it right now,” Cameron said.

Cameron said the impact of the strike was so intense that he felt the electric shock through the ground. He said he is alive “by the grace of God.”
