Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating the death of a man who was found in the street near a bicycle in Pompano Beach’s Liberty Park neighborhood on Sunday.
Pompano Beach Fire Rescue personnel and Broward deputies found the man about 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Northwest Sixth Avenue and 17th Street. The first responders took the cyclist to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police did not release the man’s age or name.
WPLG reported on-air Sunday that the man’s bike showed signs of being struck by a vehicle, but a medical incident was also being investigated.
