TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – After 25 years serving viewers in north Florida and south Georgia, veteran WCTV journalist and morning anchor Lanetra Bennett will be signing off at the end of August.
All month long, she’s visited communities around the Big Bend and South Georgia to celebrate with viewers as WCTV helps send her off in style.
The farewell tour has made stops in Quincy, Live Oak, Bainbridge and Perry.
“Lanetra’s Last Lap” wraps up in Tallahassee on Wednesday, August 26, with stops at Earley’s Kitchen and Florida A&M University.
Join Lanetra at Earley’s Kitchen from 6 a.m.- 9 a.m. and then at FAMU’s Lee Hall from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Those looking to join at FAMU can park in general spaces behind Lee Hall or the Will Packer Amphitheater on campus. These spaces are first come, first served, according to FAMU. The university asks guests to not park in reserved spaces.
The first 50 people to stop by at each location will be able to get a commemorative coffee cup.
