ORLANDO, Fla. — A limited-time Florida Mall attraction encourages guests to “walk” across the universe.
Unlike traditional seated virtual reality experiences that can cause motion sickness, this is a free-roam “space odyssey” that allows you to freely wander through distant galaxies with friends.
The exhibit is an “edutainment” journey built with the smarties at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, utilizing real data from advanced space telescopes like Hubble and James Webb to render everything completely to scale.
Guests get to look down at massive solar flares, witness the violent birth and death of stars, and stand face-to-face with a supermassive black hole — at least virtually.
The new cosmic attraction can be found at the Fever Hub, located right inside Orlando’s Florida Mall.
The attraction is specially designed with a consistent physical platform and air conditioning to prevent disorientation, and it runs locally through Aug. 30, 2026.
