The Jacksonville Jaguars have a new look for the 2026 season. The team, along with Nike and the NFL, unveiled its “Bold City Glow” rivalry uniform, a design that moves away from the franchise’s usual color combination in favor of a different aesthetic and, above all, one that is much more connected to Jacksonville.

The new uniform

The new uniform features a color that is different from the shade that typically defines the team: a cream color inspired by Florida’s coastal culture. It is paired with the word “Jaguars” in a cursive font and numbers that combine matte and glossy finishes. The outside of the collar also features the inscription “Since ’95,” referring to the year the franchise was founded.

However, the most striking and significant change appears on the head. For the first time in franchise history, the Jaguars will wear a shiny teal helmet, complete with a gold face mask and the regional “904” mark.

But the changes and the connection to Jacksonville do not end there.

What is hidden in the Jaguars’ new uniform?

The pants feature a black base with a subtle jaguar-spot pattern, along with a teal stripe outlined in gold. However, the pattern hides a detail that directly connects the uniform to the city.

Hidden among the spots are the names of different Jacksonville neighborhoods, incorporated into the design as a tribute to the communities that are part of the city’s identity.

When will the Jaguars debut the new uniform?

Although the design has already been unveiled, fans will have to wait to see it in an official game. The Jaguars will debut the uniform in Week 8, on November 1, 2026, when they host the Indianapolis Colts, one of their division rivals.

Jacksonville finished the 2025 season with a 13-4 record, won the AFC South, and closed the regular season with eight consecutive victories. However, their run ended in the Wild Card Round with a 27-24 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Now, the new uniform marks the beginning of another chapter for the franchise, but its meaning goes beyond the football field.
