TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Leon County’s Canvassing Board has certified the official results of the 2026 Primary Election after completing a manual recount in a closely watched Tallahassee City Commission race.
On Monday, August 24, the Leon County Canvassing Board completed the manual recount of the City Commission, Seat 3 race and certified the official results of the 2026 Primary Election. The recount results are posted online at https://www.leonvotes.gov/…/ElectionSummaryReport…
Following the recount, Tom Derzypolski picked up an additional vote and remained 15 votes ahead of Talethia O. Edwards. Derzypolski will now face P.J. Perez in the November runoff election.
The Canvassing Board also completed all remaining business for the 2026 Primary Election on August 24. As a result, the Canvassing Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, was canceled.
The board’s next scheduled meeting is set for 4 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, to review the Logic and Accuracy test results for the 2026 General Election.
