HamiKuma, the zombie bear mascot from Universal Studios Japan, returns with new merchandise at Universal Orlando Resort for Halloween Horror Nights 2026.
HamiKuma Merchandise at Universal Orlando ResortWho is HamiKuma?

HamiKuma is a popular zombie teddy bear in Universal Studios Japan. As the story goes, he was a side show act in a traveling circus. His fellow performers were jealous of his popularity, and they believed the rumor that he wasn’t even a real bear.
To prove their point, they slashed him open in order to see what/who was inside. After the act, they burned down the big top tent, killing HamiKuma.

Death Bringer, a parasitic demon, entered HamiKuma after he died, and they returned to the surface world.
HamiKuma translates into “protruding bear.” Hami means “sticking out” or “protruding” in Japanese while Kuma means bear. This is a fitting name for the bear as he has colorful items protruding from his stomach.
Following rumors that HamiKuma would appear at both Universal Studios parks in the United States, merchandise featuring his likeness debuted last year at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.

Now, the bear has returned for more merchandise during this year’s Halloween Horror Nights 2026. We found these items in the Universal Studios Store, located in the CityWalk district of Universal Orlando Resort, as well as the Five & Dime in Universal Studios Florida.
