TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Two Leon County Schools district administrators are on administrative leave as the school district reviews financial records related to the Foundation for Leon County Schools, according to the district’s spokesperson Chris Petley.
In a statement to WCTV Wednesday morning, LCS revealed that Executive Director Margaret Farris and Deputy Superintendent Dr. Michelle Gayle are both on administrative leave “as this is an ongoing review.”

The school district went on to clarify in its statement that administrative leave should not be interpreted as a presumption or finding of wrongdoing, but that the action “allows the district to conduct a thorough and appropriate review of circumstances and determine whether any official action is warranted.”
At this time, no further information will be shared, according to Petley.
