ST. CLOUD, Fla. (CBS12) — Police are asking for tips after a senior rescue dog on hospice, named Baby, was left without her wheelchair when someone stole it from a Florida rescue’s porch.
Baby, a hospice resident with The Pittie Party of Central Florida, depends on the wheelchair to get around because she cannot walk on her own.
The rescue said someone walked onto its porch and took the wheelchair, which it estimates would cost about $800 to replace, including shipping.
“Now she has nothing,” the rescue said in a Facebook post.

Without the chair, Baby cannot get around normally or go to the bathroom on her own, according to the rescue. Volunteers said trying to hold her while helping her go to the bathroom is also difficult without the specialized equipment.
The Pittie Party said Baby needs a specific type of wheelchair because of her condition.
The rescue is asking for donations to help replace the wheelchair and pay for Baby’s ongoing medical care, medications, and supplies.
Officers with the St. Cloud police are asking anyone who knows where the wheelchair is or has information about who took it to call 407-891-6700.
The rescue said Baby continues to need significant physical and financial support and that donations will go toward all areas of her care.
