Orlando man federally indicted for armed bank robbery and firearm possession
ORLANDO, Fla. —
An Orlando man has been federally indicted on several charges stemming from his alleged involvement in an armed bank robbery in Altamonte Springs, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
The charges include bank robbery, brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a violent crime, and possessing a firearm as a prohibited person.
According to court documents, Cobb robbed a bank in Altamonte Springs at gunpoint in February earlier this year.
He allegedly entered the bank wearing a mask and dark-colored clothing, jumped over the teller counter, and brandished a dark-colored pistol at one of the bank tellers.
Cobb is accused of pointing a firearm at another teller and directing her to open her drawer, and taking approximately $277 before fleeing the scene.
A follow-up investigation by law enforcement identified Cobb as the suspect.
Cobb’s prior offenses include robbery with a firearm, aggravated fleeing and eluding law enforcement, and trafficking in stolen property.
