The search for the man was called off on Tuesday.
Trevor Barnes, a nephew of the missing man, said his friends went out on the water Wednesday to look for his uncle.
“About an hour and a half later, my mom received a call that they found a body, but we weren’t sure who it was,” Barnes said.
He was grateful to have closure.
“It’s closure and relief that his body’s been found. I would say that. Not worrying every night if they’re going to find him,” Barnes said.
He said his uncle would “do anything for anybody.”
‘It sucks that they’re gonna have to grow up without a father, he said.
The identification of the body is pending an investigation by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.
