Dr. Phillips Elementary evacuated after report of device in classroom
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —
Dr. Phillips Elementary School was evacuated Thursday after a phone call reported a “device” in a classroom, according to Orange County Public Schools.
The school district said it was unclear whether the caller was referring to a computer or another type of device.
The campus was evacuated, and law enforcement was contacted out of an abundance of caution.
Law enforcement conducted a sweep of the entire campus but found nothing.
The campus was later cleared, and students and staff returned to the building, according to the school district.
