What a ‘Gouda’ boy! Officers use cheese to save dog trapped in Florida drain
A sticky situation for one Florida puppy turned into something of a cheesy situation.
Officers from the Tampa Police Department were recently called out to help a small dog that got stuck in a drain.
“You got something sticky?” one officer can be heard saying. “Like, you can put it into the bottom of this thing so it can climb into it?”
Then, the officer had a “Gouda” idea.
“Spread that cheese on the bottom of this bucket,” the officer was heard saying.
With the help of volunteers, they put cheese in a bucket and lowered it down, hoping the dog would jump in.
The puppy hopped into the bucket, and the officers were able to pull the dog up to safety.

Animal Control checked the dog out, and aside from getting a nice, cheesy snack, he has already been adopted since the rescue.
