TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Florida A&M University is set to host its first home game of the season on Saturday, and students, alumni, and fans are eager to show their Rattler pride.
The Rattlers will face off against Albany State, led by their new head coach Quinn Gray.
While the Rattlers aren’t eligible for postseason games this year, that has not stopped alumni from showing their support.
Alumni Bobby and Irene Calhoun have been season ticket holders for over 50 years.
“We come win or lose, continuously,” the couple said.

This support is what inspires current students to attend the games and keep the Rattler spirit alive.
“It’s my senior year, so these would be the last football games that I would go to as a student. I might as well go and show my support,” Elijah Lott, a current FAMU student said. “I know some of the players. I might as well go, show my support, be a Rattler.”
Vendors are already setting up outside of the area and students are laying out their outfits in preparation for the game Saturday.
The match kicks off at 7 p.m. at Bragg Memorial Stadium.
